No experience necessary, all sticks and instruments supplied.
Streetbeaters is the collective name for three samba drumming groups: Beatniks, Bang On! and Worldbeaters. Anyone over the age of five can come along to our weekly tutored practice sessions. Beginners always welcome. Click on the indivdual bands' logos (below) to read more about each group:
Tutors: The groups are led by experienced professional musicians in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere.
Equipment: The groups own their own drums, so all instruments, sticks and beaters, ear protection, etc. will be supplied.
Time: The three groups meet every Monday between 4:30pm-9:15pm during term time (no sessions on school or bank holidays):

Beatniks (5-10 y/o) 4:30-5:30pm;

Bang On! (10-18 y/o) 5:45-7pm; and

Worldbeaters (all age) 7:15-9:15pm.
Location: At 41 Jesmond Vale (old Sinfonia Centre), Sandyford, NE2 1PG
Cost: £4 per session (£2 Priority Citycard/NUS card), maximum £10 per family unit
